Our school categories

This is the last work we make in class. The work consist in identify the differents categories of the items that teacher give to us.

Our school experience

To start, we are a group of 5 girls.  We met this year in the University.
We are going to talk about our experience in the school.

The first mainly thing is that two of us went to the kindergarten before to start pre-school.
We think that It is important because it is the first contact with our resemblant. Family chose if they want to give this previous education and making socialization.

After that, all of us went to school. We do not remember exactly when we started preschool. Maybe, with 3 years or maybe with 4 years old.For example, in Korea the age to start the school is with 8 years old, but they can choose if they want to go to the kindergarten.
All of us think that preschool helps us to socialize, because is the first time where you were alone with your relatives. You must make friend and try to live together.
For example, we created cities, we had kitchen, we were always painting…

From our point of view, the primary school helps to build children personalities.
We have in common that we went to a lot of trip and activities like “Día de Andalucía”, “Día de la Paz”, “ Carnaval”… that helped to learn how to interact with our classmates, teachers and other people.
Furthermore, these activities helped us to feel confidence with ourselves and to disconnect with the theoretical subjects.
In terms of methodology of teaching, teachers used to teach the subjects through the music and drawings. It happened with two of us. However the rest of us were thought with a traditional method.
Regarding to the evaluation, we all made exams to check if we had learnt anything.
These tests consisted in memorizing a lot of information.
When we had the test we had to memorize all the information on the paper but after the exam nothing left in our heads.
But one of us tells that she made oral exams and then the teachers joined her with a partner to write out what they knew

We have seen the differences between Spanish and Korean education system:
In Spain and Korea, the kindergarden is from 3 to 6 years.
In Spain, the preschool is from 3 to 6 years. In Korea it is from 6 to 7 years.
The Primary School in Spain is from 6 to 12 years; in Korea it is from 8 to 13 years old.
The Secondary School in Spain is from 12 to 16 years; in Korea it is from 14 to 16 years old.
In Spain, the Bachillerato is from 16 to 17 years; in Korea it is from 17 to 19 years.
And finally, the University in Spain starts at 18 years old and so on; in Korea it starts at 20 years old and so on.
Another differences is that in Korea “Bachillerato” is  specialized such as foreign language high school, or science.

As to the High School, t
he worst thing is that we suffer a big change, because of the  different systems between primary and secondary school.

In the school we have a teacher for every subjects, and in the high school we have a different teacher for each subject.

To sum up, it has been a quite hard way but it worth it.

Dice's memories

Hello everybody! To start this blog we are going to explain why we have chosen this name of the group.

We have chosen this name because this group is composed by six girls.
Five of us met each other the first day of the class. In the second semester we met a girl from Korea.
Now, we became six.

Each one has different face, culture and personality and we will develop different opinions during the semester. However, although we have differences, we are all together one, like a dice. This is the reason we have chosen this name.
Also, the meanig of Dice's memories is that we are collecting all our experiences and memories of our childhood at school. We pretend to create a new school changing our bad experiences and creating our ideal school.
